Villa BorjakOne of our oldest monasteries, which was built in 1377/78 - during the rule of duke Lazar. It's the endowment of an unknown family, whose portraits are in the nave of the temple who might be related with the duke himself, based on the similarities with Lazarica i Ravanica Monastery. Duke Lazar gifted farm with Veluce Monastery to St.Pantelejmon on Holy Mountain, which is written down in the charter of duchess Milica. The monastery was turned into a female only one in 1939, by decree of the bishop of Zicha Monastery, Nokolaj.
For the lovers of hedonism, only 5km from Veluće are located the famous Stopanja pubs. It all began in the mid 19th century when travellers sought rest in the fertile Moravian plains on the path from Krusevac to Kraljevo. Pabs in Stopanja, which offer top-notch roast of pig and beef meat, were visited by celebrites of the former SFRJ: politicians, actors, officers, singers, bohemians... as well as famous estarda musicians Zdravko Cholic, Miroslav Ilic and many more... In Stopanja is also held the annual "Pečenjijada" at the beginning of September, where tons of toursits gather... Over 10 pubs and all are fully operational...
Near Veluce Monastery there is a water source - "Minerals of Veluce", from which it got it's name - Mivela. This lets us in on the fact that we're talking about a water rich in minerals, where 1l has 343 mg of magensium which fufills the bodies needs for this mineral for the entire day. Famous Serbian doctor and chemist Marko Leko was the first to notice the chemical content of Mg Mivela water and he showed its signifiance. Scientists say it's entirely unique in Serbia.
The water mill orginates from the 19th century, and on the Srebrenica river and has been operational for about 200 years, it has two mill sandstones... The knowledge and artistry has been passed down generation to generation, and continues to. They offer four types of flour : wheatish, rye, cornish and eight grade flour. Since one of the inheritors is musically educated, here is also organized the festival of traditional music every September where soloists of the Belgrade philharmony perform.
Dunja Rach is located in Tobolac, a village 1km from Veluce and there you can meet a family that offers recreational and terrain horseback riding, a horsebackriding course, as well as taking photographs with the horses.
"The Villa of Wine" Bucje - the vineyards of this family belongs to the southern part of the Trstenik grape vines. On 4ha of vineyards are planted high sorts of grapes: Sovinjon, white Cabbare, Merlo and Shiraz, although there are also homebrew sorts of Tamjanika and Prokupac. They are recipients of multiple awards...
